Kafka Meetup Japanの第6回を開催いたします！
今回はconfluentのMr. Tim Berglund(https://www.linkedin.com/in/tlberglund) さんをお招きして発表していただきます。（発表は英語です)

Title: Dissolving the Problem: Kafka is more ACID Than Your Database

Abstract: It has become a truism in the past decade that building systems at scale, using non-relational databases, requires giving up on the transactional guarantees afforded by the relational databases of yore, ACID transactional semantics are fine, but we all know you can’t have them all in a distributed system. Or can we?

In this talk, I will argue that by designing our systems around a distributed log like Kafka, we can in fact achieve ACID semantics at scale. We can ensure that distributed write operations can be applied atomically, consistently, in isolation between services, and of course with durability. What seems to be a counterintuitive conclusion ends up being straightforwardly achievable using existing technologies, as an elusive set of properties becomes relatively easy to achieve with the right architectural paradigm underlying the application.

Bio: Tim is a teacher, author, and technology leader with Confluent, where he serves as the Senior Director of Developer Experience. He can frequently be found at speaking at conferences in the United States and all over the world. He is the co-presenter of various O’Reilly training videos on topics ranging from Git to Distributed Systems, and is the author of Gradle Beyond the Basics. He tweets as @tlberglund, blogs very occasionally at http://timberglund.com, is the co-host of the http://devrelrad.io podcast, and lives in Littleton, CO, USA with the wife of his youth and their youngest child, the other two having mostly grown up.

9a出口を出て直進してください（1両目が最寄り）。
東京ガーデンテラスに直結しています。
店舗エリアを直進し、右手の自動ドアから2階オフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。

○半蔵門線（永田町駅7番出口）
7番出口を出てください（10両目が最寄り）。
川を挟んだ右手に東京ガーデンテラスが見えますので、橋を渡ります。
1階「ディーン&デルーカ（カフェ）」の前にある道を進み、少し歩くと右手にエスカレーターがありますので、2階に上がります。
左手の自動ドアからオフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。

○有楽町線、半蔵門線（永田町駅9a出口）
5番出口の脇の通路を上がり、9a出口を出て直進してください（1両目が最寄り）。
東京ガーデンテラスに直結しています。
店舗エリアを直進し、右手の自動ドアから2階オフィスエントランスホールへお入りください。
※途中にある9b出口から出ないようお気をつけください。
※半蔵門線は地上に出るルート（永田町駅7番出口）の方がやや近いのですが、悪天候の場合はこちらの地下ルートがおすすめです。

○銀座線、丸ノ内線（赤坂見附駅D出口）
D番出口を出てください（両線1両目が最寄り）。
目の前の横断歩道を渡って左折し、橋を渡ると右手にあるのが東京ガーデンテラスです。
1階「ディーン&デルーカ（カフェ）」の前にある道を進み、少し歩くと右手にエスカレーターがありますので、2階に上がります。
左手の自動ドアからオフィスエントランスホールへ入りください。

━【道順：2階エントランス～LODGEまで】━

エントランス正面のカウンターにイベント受付がありますので、ビジターカードを受け取り、首からさげてください。
向かって右手にあるフラッパーゲートを通過し、左側のエレベーターで18Fへ上がります（警備員がいますが、そのまま通過できます）。
エレベーターを降りたら、「来客受付」と書かれている方へ進みます（左折）。
突き当たりをもう一度左折し、右手にある来客フロアにお入りください。
左方向に見える内階段から17階へ降りると、そこが「LODGE」です。

○Access by bus (Airport Limousine) ・Direct bus from Narita Airport to Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho ・Direct bus from Haneda Airport to Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho

━【Directions from the station to the 2F entrance】━

○Namboku Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 9a） Exit from Exit 9a and go straight (riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit) which leads you directly to Tokyo Garden Terrace. Go through the shopping area and pass through the automatic door on your right to enter the 2F entrance hall of the office building.

○Hanzomon Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 7） Exit from Exit 7 (riding on Car 10 will be the closest to the exit). You will see Tokyo Garden Terrace on your right across the moat, cross the bridge. You will see Dean & Deluca on the 1F of Tokyo Garden Terrace. Proceed further and take the escalator on your right to 2F. The office building will be to your left as you descend the escalator so pass through the automatic door to enter the 2F entrance hall.

○Yurakucho Line, Hanzomon Line（Nagatacho Station Exit 9a） Exit from Exit 9a and go straight (riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit) which leads you directly to Tokyo Garden Terrace. Go through the shopping area and pass through the automatic door on the right to enter the 2F entrance hall of the office building.

※Do not exit from Exit 9b.

○Ginza Line, Marunouchi Line (Akasaka-mitsuke Station Exit D) Exit from Exit D (for both lines, riding on Car 1 will be the closest to the exit). Cross the road right in front of you and turn left. Cross the bridge and you will see Tokyo Garden Terrace on your right. You will see Dean & Deluca on the 1F of Tokyo Garden Terrace. Proceed further and take the escalator on your right to 2F. The office building will be to your left as you descend the escalator so pass through the automatic door to enter the 2F entrance hall.

━【Directions from the 2F entrance to LODGE】━

The reception for the event will be in the 2F entrance hall. Pass through the flap gates on the right and take the elevator (visitor elevator) to 18F. Turn left as you descend the elevator. (There will be a sign “来客受付 (Visitor reception)” Turn left again and enter the visitor area on your right. You will see a staircase on your left to go down to 17F, and you are in “LODGE”
