Kafka Meetup Japanの第11回を開催いたします！ 今回はConfluentのMark Teehanさんをお招きしまして、発表していただきます（発表は英語です)

Speaker: Mark Teehan, Principal Solutions Engineer, Confluent

Bio: Mark Teehan is a systems engineer at Confluent in Singapore. In his day-to-day work, Mark engages with organisations that are interested in event streaming, realtime ETL or anything related to running Apache Kafka systems. Interest in Apache Kafka spans banks, telcos, airlines, digital natives, government departments, insurance and manufacturing.

Topic: Speedtest: Benchmark Your Apache Kafka®️

Abstract: In this session, Mark will talk about running benchmarking utilities for Apache Kafka; to determine how much MB/sec a cluster can handle; how to set up automated benchmark runs (including the repo), and using this to find and optimize client-side producer configuration properties

This Event Will Be Held Online

• Given the growing concern and impact of COVID-19, we will hold the 8th Kafka Meetup Japan online instead of our former venues like Yahoo Japan Corporation office and "LODGE". Attendees will watch online live stream in this event. Please register if you would like to attend. We will send a URL for the live stream to the attendees’ e-mail addresses registered in connpass, and display the URL in a connpass webpage which will only be accessible to the attendees. Please prepare viewing environment for the stream including a device (PC, smartphone) and an Internet connection by yourself.
• We are also accepting applications for 15 min presentation (1 entry) & 5 min Lightening Talk (3 entries). If you wish to apply, please choose the appropriate "Attendee Type" when registering for the meetup.
